How much railroading is acceptable for you?

I really don't like this mentality, and if you were my player, I would not want to play with you.

If you are joining my story, understand that I have plot points that need to be achieved in order to progress the story. You are joining my story. If you don't like it, go DM your own.

Sandboxing gets boring because you just aimlessly wander around hoping that something happens. As the DM, it's my responsibility to keep the story flowing. Sandboxing gets stagnant. Just because you decide to go into a cave, doesn't mean something significant will come from it.

You don't need to know beforehand that there's a dragon that's going to attack the town. Just know the significance of the dragon attacking the town was going to happen because the plot demanded it so.

Something tells me you aren't one who enjoys modules.
