How much truth do you all think there is behind the statement “a drunk mind speaks a sober heart”?

Sometimes it's true, sometimes it's not. I've definitely been emboldened by alcohol into sharing things I wouldnt have shared sober.

I've also had alcohol incite me to react far more strongly than I would sober. Usually theres a spark of truth in what I'm saying but its 1000 times stronger than it should be. Like, I get annoyed that my friends wont ever pick a place for dinner and always wander around when we meet up. I find it mildly disrespectful of my time and preferences. But if I'm drunk and the topic comes up, it's the WORST thing ever and drives me MAD and oh god they're just so flaky and irresponsible.

Ans of course sometimes it just makes me talk crap. I told my friend he'd be an awful vampire. I cant say I've ever considered it when sober, and even now I dont strongly feel he is or isn't suited to being a vampire. But that one time I was drunk apparently I was passionately against it.
