how i see myself as a disabled person..

My tiny experience with DRA is that they object to non-disabled people characterising disabled people as suffering with a suggestion that they be pittied.

A non-disabled person charactering whole segments of disabled people as suffering is I think they argue harmful - I think because it creates the idea that say every single moment is misery and promotes a simplistic kind of view where the disabled person in that frame is viewed as less human.

I don't think it's meant to prevent disabled people from using the term to talk about their experiences, or what they are going through.

I really hate the toxic clubs people form around stuff like this online, I don't think say that random bad takes on Twitter are truely representive of what is intended.
