Short time table my ass. This was supposed to be their first major update in 3 years, they delayed it for months, and it's still actively worse than before.

Updates are not the only thing their teams are working on, and there have been lots of updates in recent years/months. Just because the last major one was a long time ago doesn't mean they have whole teams sitting on their butts doing nothing.

Pick one? It has a long list of patch notes, its not a small update at all. There's also a lot of work that happens behind the scenes with an acquisition like this so the interfacing with Epic's infrastructure and systems in place was likely a lot more work than we think.
