My son see grandparents once every 2 weeks and he sees our great uncle/aunt (whom he also considers grandparents) 2 times a week. Usually on Sunday as a family we try together. But it’s been busy for all of us.

Prior to now, we use to live with the aunt/uncle so my son was actually brought up with family heavily involved. Now that we have our own place, I don’t really mind how often we get together.

Also my side of the family is extremely distant, far off and not really interested in being involved. They never call or send cards or nothing. This hurt me a lot when my son was smaller but now that he’s older, kids know who takes care and are there for them. I cherish the amount of time the in-laws have with my son. They could be like my family after all.
