How do you get out of bed every morning just to go to a job?

I picked a field I love [...] gives me the same overwhelming feeling of “I’d literally rather die than do this”.

... what's your field? how the fuck can you love something but feel like you'd rather die than doing it? you don't love it then.....................

if it's not what you EXPECTED, then that's a whole different story. you don't love it. you were wrong. so pick something else.

I simply don’t feel rewarded when I put in effort to complete a task, I never get fulfillment out of a job well done. I don’t understand how people do this their whole lives

???

again, sounds like you never loved the field and were wrong about it.

I don’t understand how people do this their whole lives

Have you tried the alternative............?

I semi-retired when I was 23 because I sold a company and decided to fuck off and "live my life" before I burn through all the money and gotta go back to work.

After 3 years of traveling and doing bullshit, I actually got depressed and felt pathetic. We need goals in our lives and esp when you're young, you need a career. Grass is greener on the other side situation here.

Unless you have no problem doing jackshit with your life and no problem feeling like shit then... that's a different story...
