With the hairdresser-friend, maybe it is a communication issue and you need to be more specific with what you want. Try to bring photos or videos of how you want it to look, maybe that could help?

About the photographer, maybe you can tell her you did not like the clothes you were wearing in the photos after all (putting the blame on yourself). Not the best but it may work. Or now that you have had time to think about it you feel the colours in the photos don't fit so well with the interior design in your home. If she offers to take new photos maybe you can pretend to be really busy and then some time later have photos taken with another photographer.
