It’s been 10+ years and I’m still not over mine. I think very few people “get over” their first love , you just move on with time and find new / different love in other people .

With time & new relationships the hurt starts to go away but you’ll probably always have a special spot for him in you and once you get past the pain of it all I think it’s a really beautiful thing.

In the meantime wallow it out & when you’re ready get back out there and find your next love . Looking back now , as much as I still love and care about my first love , I see why we never would have worked & I’m grateful we split but I can still appreciate the love we had . That’ll be where you’re at soon enough I’m sure :)
