How do people stay poor?

I’ve seen this argument too many times that I should have a copy paste response...

The golden age of America was when the rest of the world was torn apart from ww2, or any country with a sizable population wasn’t developed enough to make an impact. If you want to buy a high quality manufactured gold, it’s America.

This isn’t the case any more. The reason Mr Flesh and heartbeat can’t afford a car, house, and stay at home wife anymore isn’t because of unions, lobbying, or Walmart.

It’s because a guy in China/India will do his job for 10% of his cost, + $5.99 shipping. And he won’t complain about hours or benefits.

You’re silly if you think more left leaning regulation will maintain the average guy at that lifestyle. The rest of the world has caught up, and the golden mixture of cheap land, world class infrastructure, and undeveloped competitors is gone.
