That wasn’t the intent of my comment. But I also don’t understand your point... Almost all of America is made up of immigrants from different countries, which only adds to the diversity of the country as a whole. It’s considered a ‘melting pot’ for a reason. I disagree that states are not culturally different when comparing them to each other. Wyoming is absolutely culturally different than New York as a whole. Different languages, ethnicities, social norms, laws, belief systems, ways of living. I think people are assuming by me pointing these things out, I’m saying that America is more diverse than other countries. That’s not at all what I’m saying. The only reason I even commented to begin with was because the original commenter said Americans oversell local differences, then proceeded to oversell the local differences of their own country, and I just pointed out that America has diversity as well.
