How do I pick discs as a beginner?

You could buy a starter set, as some have suggested, which is great advice. Honestly though, after a month the only disc I threw out of the Innova set is the Leopard. It's a great disc for a beginner to work into. So maybe just get a Leopard, a neutral to slightly OS putter, like a Judge, which I have putted with for years, and a neutral mid, like a Comet, which I will always have in my bag, or a Buzzz SS, or a Claymore.

After a bit of practice and playing time and you want to add a disc, consider an OS putter or mid, like a Zone or a Verdict. Both are great for forehands, spike hyzers, overhands to get out of trouble.

Those are discs you could throw now and continue to throw for a long time. Shark not so much, and Aviar, while very popular, just never clicked with me.

There are so many ways to build a bag that the possibilities are endless. Starter set definitely gets you going in the right direction but wanted to offer some other options.
