How was reading the Bible in full (really in full) for you?

I want to add a few things to my response: First off, I think you took my statement to mean something other than it does.

Being nice is about trying to please someone. It's flattering and pandering to someone in order to get you on their side. This doesn't mean it's a bad thing to be nice. Humans need to be nice in order to form social bonds. It's how we make friends.

God isn't in the "pleasing humans" business. He isn't nice. He's good. He's holy. He's forgiving. Frequently he demonstrates kindness, but you cannot characterize either the Father or the Son with the personality trait, "nice". Jesus doesn't pander to people. God does not flatter. The Father doesn't need to make nice to you. If you are to have a relationship with him, it's on his terms, not yours. There is no negotiating with this creator.

I have read the entire new Testament more than twice. I've read several of the books many times. Also, please cut out the "Let him enter your heart" crap. That suggestion occurs exactly zero times in the Bible, and does not gain a person salvation.
