How do I recreate the look of a gif in Resolve?

Yet, not every Gif is dithered. Photoshop is quite good because it simply creates real Gifs, and can use different modes to achieve different looks. And of course they tend to be huge: Gifs are, after all, uncompressed image sequences. But you can easily just render a Prores from the Gifs and not work with them.

This is the AE plugin I talked about (I'm only yet on front of a machine to fetch the link): https://aescripts.com/retrodither/

That one can be setup quite well and is only an effect. Resolve is an NLE and Colouring application after all, relatively weak on the effects side, or at least super cumbersome. Sure, Fusion inside of it is capable of more, but what can you do - AE is still the master for this kinda stuff :/
