How do you see the rest of Hayward's career going? Will he get back on track?

Last year there were too many cooks in the kitchen.

Give him a full season, now 2 full seasons removed from his injury, out of Kyrie's shadow, and sadly without Horford, and I think he will put up very good numbers again.

People act like he was atrocious. Sure he took time getting adjusted and shrunk in some moments, but look at his numbers:

Pre-All Star Break: 56 TS% on 11/4/3

Post-All star Break: 64 TS% on 11/4/3 (he played fewer minutes and lower usage)

He had a 19% usage rate lmao that's absurd. The Celtics allowed a player who was putting up insanely efficient numbers to be used fewer than 1 in every 5 possessions. 64 TS%. 64!!!!!! For a WING. That's what Steph Curry, the greatest shooter in history, put up this year. Low usage, so yes it will regress with a larger sample and usage, but will still be around 60 which is still incredibly good.

Imagine his stats when his usage goes from 19% to around 30% and his MPG go from 25 to 32. He could be putting up 22/6/6 on 60 TS%. That's easily all-star stats right there. I would love to see him be ball dominant too. Him or Tatum. Playing 3 wings would be a lot of fun with Brown, Tatum, and Hayward on the floor at the same time (which sadly we didn't get to see enough of this past year).

Hayward is also an underrated passer. And his PER last year despite only playing 25 minutes and putting up 11 points was still like 16 PER. That speaks to his talent. He is still a good player. There are a lot of players on the Celtics that are about to have breakout seasons (or comebacks) because of Kyrie and Horford leaving.

Robert Williams

Jayson Tatum

Jaylen Brown

Gordon Hayward

This is going to be a really fun team to watch.
