How safe is MDMA when used responsibly?

Some caveats/tips:

Mixing MDMA with alcohol = bad news (not as bad as alcohol and cocaine, though). If you absolutely are going to drink, keep it under 5 drinks, stick to salty drinks (Caesar's/Margheritas...)

Ensure adequate intake of sodium (people stress the water too much, end up with hyponatremia, especially women. About 1/4 of women doing MDMA end up with clinical hyponatremia, part of why they feel so shitty). Do ensure adequate hydration, DO NOT GO OVERBOARD, one flat teaspoon of salt per 2L/ half gallon of water would probably be reasonable. Or clamato juice, or G2 gatorade (regular gatorade is poopie). Dumping half a teaspoon of salt into a quart of coconut water might not be a bad idea, either. Coconut water has virtually no sodium on it's own, though.

Ensure adequate sleep. Don't stay up all night, go to bed at a reasonable hour (before 3am). Sleep deprivation does a number on your body and brain already, doing it on drugs exacerbates problems. Neurotoxic chemicals + sleep deprivation = synergy. Less dangerous to start rolling at 8pm than at 12am.

Buy a testing kit. Avoid shit cut with ephedrine/caffeine/meth(yes, this happens). If it's methylone/MDE/MDA it's actually probably not a huge deal, while some are maybe a tiny bit more neurotoxic, some might be less (methylone).

Avoid high doses. Stick to under 2mg/kg if possible, definitely avoid going to 4mg/kg.

Have adequate food+protein intake the day of, and the day after using. Eat enough before hand!

Supplement friends: ALCAR, EGCG (good the day after too, drink a few cups of match tea the next day if that's your thing), melatonin before sleep, Vitamin C (one of the few times I'd recommend taking high doses of Vitamin C, 0.5-1g isn't a bad idea).

Completely avoid MDMA if possible if taking any psychiatric medications, or in conjunction with quite a few other drugs (ketamine + MDMA = no good on the brain)

Do not use often. Weekly usage is definitely too much, monthly usage is probably too much. I mean, I guess if you're taking like 1mg/kg per month maybe that's okay, but even so.

Note: the subjective effects of MDMA wear off within 4-6 hours after ingesting, but based on the clearance of the drug, it actually stays in your system longer without being fully psychoactive. So what you think is "afterglow" might be the tapering effects of the drug the next day, and the depression the next day = the withdrawal kicking in. It peaks at 1-2 hours, but your serum levels are still like 25% of what they were at the peak 8 hours out (don't quote me on exact numbers here).

Disclaimer: I do not advise using MDMA.
