How do we save this fucking planet?

Civil disobedience and non-violent direct action.

We need to stop pointing fingers and accept that we are all at fault here, we are all going to be effected sooner or later, but we all have something we can do, no matter how big or small. It's all of us in this, seriously.

Extinction Rebellion was founded on the 31st of October 2018, that is under a year ago. Since then it has become a global movement and successfully helped to push the climate crisis up the agenda and it's growing all of the time. It's completely changed the conversation in the UK. So far they've declared a climate emergency but, we'll continue to disrupt until we see the changes needed to minimise climate change.

I would really encourage anyone to get involved any way they can. You don't need to get arrested, some people just come to occasional meetings, some get training, some just share our stuff on social media and some people just turn up at actions. You don't even need to agree with everything that they do, in fact if you don't we really need you to join the conversation!

The FAQ on the main site is pretty comprehensive and transparent about how we run and why we take the action that we do. https://rebellion.earth/

For me personally as well, I have never felt more encouraged and empowered, everyone I've been working with are so passionate, supportive and appreciative, because we realise this is an emotional journey, trying to save humanity from itself.

I'm really happy to answer any questions or concerns anyone might have. I don't think their the be all and end all but, I do think it's a movement worth getting involved in and supporting to make your concerns heard without having to wait for the next election.
