How come it seems the Pro Life movement is so focused on making motherhood work for women who can’t afford it, or are in no shape to be mothers? How come adoption isn’t more greatly pushed or emphasized?

Pregnancy centers want to give alternatives to abortion, that includes parenting and adoption, but we in no way want to pressure women into one choice or another.

I would at least hope so.

Obviously yes, children do best when raised by a mother and a father, but biology matters too. Even adopted kids with loving parents have struggles with identity and loss due to missing their biological parents. And it's not right to pressure or force women to give their biological children up for adoption.

Open adoption. Done.

Most women in crisis pregnancies are choosing between abortion and parenting, and rarely is adoption something that they think about. Most women who are denied abortions go on to raise their children.

This is a serious problem.

Also, poverty itself should not be a criteria for losing custody of your children, that should only happen if there's some kind of abuse or neglect going on.

It absolutely should be considered when there is less social mobility currently than ever before.

Poverty is temporary

Not in most cases. This needs to be acknowledged.
