If you're not interested in videogames generally, a switch could be a large investment. A switch light would be around ~€200 , a game could be around ~€50-60. You'd have to decide for yourself if that's worth the commitment. The benefit of otome games on steam is that they tend to be a lot cheaper. (€10-60) If you already have a somewhat decent laptop, you don't need to invest in an entirely new console.

There's also otome games on the ps vita. You'd have to get it second hand. Apparently the memory cards are quite expensive for the vita. Some of the games found on the vita have been ported to the switch, like collar x malice.
