How do you stay motivated to go to the gym every day?

The gym is a place where you can do a whole lot of things. I used to go and just run my 40 minutes, then out 'till the next dat. But that would only work for a couple months, and when somethig stressful came over my lofe, I just indulged myself and the gym got to become the least of my priorities.

I realized that running didn't make me want to go to the gym. So I tried swimming. I tried spinning. I tried Body Combat. But none of these was my call.

Until I went to Zumba (dance class). I'm a guy so even though I liked dancing I never really considered on trying that just because it was weird. But I said "fuck it"and did it for once. I was awful, I just flailed around with no rhythm until I was exhausted. Then next week I told myself "It wouldn't hurt to repeat. It won't be worse than the first time". And so I began to attend on a daily basis.

My advice being: find whatever you think you'll like. Don't be afraid to try, and don't be afraid to repeat. People won't judge you (or maybe they will but that doesn't really affect you at all), and once you've found that something that you come to the gym for, put the rest of your plan around that. I like Zumba, so what I do is strenght training first thing, and then I take that class. I just need to be there a bit earlier than usual, and it helps me be motivated when the time comes around.
