How do I stop arguing with people in my head?

when this happens to me, it’s cause something triggered the thoughts or the thoughts are triggering certain emotions towards people / situations. i deal with it is by letting myself feel all the emotions for a little & then trying to get to the bottom of why i’m thinking / feeling the way i am & that’s helped me the most. maybe try to see it more as an outlet than something to get mad at yourself about. i know it sucks, especially cause if can be hard to control. yoga, meditation, & the gym have helped me be more in control of my thoughts too so when this happens i can reroute the thoughts or find outlets that’ll distract me
