How stressful are Ivy League/Ivy-tier colleges?

i'd say that most of the ivies are significantly more stressful than lower-tier schools, since the ivies are chock-full of students who are intrinsically motivated and have crazy ambitions to do well. while this is true for lower-tier schools as well, many students at ivies are also talented enough to succeed in their classes while putting in less effort than other students might need to. there's just a constant pressure to always be doing more stuff when you're surrounded by people who are always pushing themselves to the fullest

but all of this depends on the caliber of the student in question. top-50 privates can be just as stressful as an ivy; it all depends on how easily a student can perform at the level of their classmates. the student's mindset and passions also play a large role -- how well can they handle stress? do they truly enjoy what they're studying?

but i'd say that if an ivy accepts you, they've judged that you have the capacity to succeed at their school and that you can perform at the level of everyone else there. so if you're somewhat confident that you can hold up under pressure, and you get accepted at an ivy league school, i would say that you should definitely attend
