how do i submit a penetration testing report to a motel manager whose wifi i gained access to, without permission.

I was just curious about the relevance of you identifying one of the people as "mexican", and if perhaps you were using that in a pejorative way?

If it was pejorative, you do realize that many white people also have bad networking/security setup skills??

Also, the "the-lamb-looker" above, seems to have a decent recommendation, in that you do not need to tell him that you've done any testing of their network. You can just strike up a casual conversation, tell him you are studying computers and ask him if he would like you to run a detailed security audit of the network.

But... if he says "no thanks"... and gets suspicious they have been hacked... or they do get badly hacked in the future... guess who will be the first on the suspect list!

Also, if you are "really nervous" then why bother letting him know?

Sometimes we are our own worse enemies, and we needlessly put ourselves through our own hell on Earth!

We do something that makes you nervous, and could even risk someone calling the police on you? You obviously don't trust this guy, so just stay away and let it go.

His network is his problem, and not really any of your business ultimately.

For example, we have a few strange little motels over here in my city... do you care deeply that some of those networks are unsecure? Would you risk getting the police called on you, and do something that makes you nervous just to help one those hotels in my town (which might be a continent away from you)?

Similarly... Do I care about the network security of that hotel in your town? Nope!

As your life unfolds... and you move on... and years go by, the security level of this hotel's network will be completely IRRELEVANT.

So again, why torment yourself with nervousness and risk someone calling the cops?!

If someone's life was at stake sure...

But it's just an insignificant network, in an insignificant hotel. So who cares.
