def not, my parents are upper middle class (not quite $700k tho lol) and while they could certainly afford to get that stuff for me and my brother, they’re weirdly frugal and don’t want to spend money on any of that stuff so I go to a meh rural public hs, my family didn’t spend a dollar on sat prep, and they never paid for tutoring or college counselors. while i certainly have had stability and not had to worry about finances or anything, which lets me focus more on school and is a huge help, they don’t spend more than the average family on my education. the “rich people shower their kids in expensive educational supports” trope is not universal lol
