I only use the weeks planner day-to-day and I use the memo pads for things that transfer from year to year. One is a contact list/address book. People have so much more contact info these days to remember. I’ve had my phone wiped and lost everything once. Never again. The other is a password reminder for all of my online accounts. Everything is in code so it’s mostly safe but prevents me from using the same password for everything or needing to change my password every time I forget. (quite often). I use the extra pages in the weeks planner for lists and brain dumps mentioned in other posts. Those need to stay with the year they were created instead of transferring to new year’s planner.
