Here's some insight onto how he could have possibly gotten guns and ammo up to his room without noticing.

I regularly travel to Las Vegas to teach various firearms courses to mostly military and law enforcement right outside the city. I bring my own guns with me, and I travel with a partner. Sometimes we bring 8-10 guns with us, and on one trip in particular we drove to Vegas so we brought our own ammunition as well, probably 10,000 rounds between the two of us. On the occassions we stored everything in our room, no one EVER said a single word to us or even batted an eye as we rolled through reception, the casino floors, elevators, etc with rolling cases that obviously had long guns in them.

Typically we contact the hotel's head of security ahead of time and request permission to store all of our firearms and ammo in their gun safe. Since we go to the same hotel all the time now and their security department is full of retired LEO's, it's never been a problem.

Anyway, I hope this gives a little insight into what might have happened. The answer is simply no one gives a fuck.
