Is this how video games work?

I used to teach and the younger, "millenial" students were not complainers, in general. Where have you seen this? What is whining to you? In my experience, the kids born after 2000 were more likely to stand up for themselves and their rights.

Once I started a class with "Welcome ladies and germs" only because I was nervous and a teacher said that to me once in the 70s... and one boy said, loudly, while looking around to the other boys, "...did she just call us germs?!"

So I stopped and apologized and we had a brief discussion about gender roles and assumptions, and I promised I would not say things that were gender divisive. It was awesome and lifted my spirits. The class went great after that.

Is that the millenial whining you're talking about?
