How will Jalen Brunson do with the Knicks compared to his time with Dallas?

People make too big of a deal about his individual defense. A good team D could hide his shortcomings and he's one of the best at drawing charges. He'll be okay there.

Pairing him with Mitchell, however, makes it extremely difficult to have an overall competitive defensive scheme. Then you also have Randle. That's just too many traffic cones to deal with.

But the worst part about having Mitchell is that you're taking away the ball off JB's hands. He's at his best ISOing and bullying his way into the basket and with Mitchell, it'll just be Luka all over again and Knicks would have to come up with a plan to stagger their minutes so JB has long stretches where Mitchell isn't around to get him going.

It's also worth noting that it remains to be seen if JB could consistently score over length. He's absolutely useless when you put a tall guy on him, and with the spacing in NY, it'll even be more difficult to score.
