How will student loan forgiveness have a positive impact for you personally?

it won't and it's bullshit

i barely make over the salary cap. and i live in a VERY high cost of living city, NYC. and tax returns DO NOT take into account the fact that i take care of my grandparents (they have social security, so i dont account for more than 50% of their care), but i pay their rent/food. it also does not take into account that i have medication that i pay for every month that costs $900.

i am definitely in the group that needs help with student loans.

meanwhile, i have friends who live in fucking CHEAP places like Kentucky and Iowa and they make like $90K and they dont have any responsibilities. THEY get their loans forgiven.

same with the covid checks. people like me always get fucked. some arbitrary federal number that doesn't take into account cost of living area is bullshit
