I'm a 3w4 and my best friend of ten years is a 1w9. In some ways, we are completely diametrically opposed. She often feels burdened by the yoke of responsibility, while I tend to shirk any kind of overarching material or moral authority. When she comes to me, she wants her concerns (and sometimes her anger/frustration) validated. I'm the optimist achiever and usually there to help her guage next steps, or else help absolve some of those responsibilities that source her frustration.

When I go to her, I want the truth. I want brass tacks how it is, and, her being a competence type, she's always happy to help brainstorm on what that is. Alternatively, I go to her for her loyalty. In my experience, 1's are incredibly loyal and to have someone there I know can see my whole 3 package (and 4 idealistic tendencies) and still come to bat for me, it's worth more than anything.

We rarely see each-other as helpless and so there's a constant dialogue surrounding our needs which is really refreshing.
