How is it that women are turning more masculine and men more feminine?

Not sure what you mean by masculine and feminine, but sexual dimorphism in humans is not naturally as great as we’ve seen it in US society for the last few decades. The social construction of bodies and attitudes is real (yes, this is literally critical theory, sorry fam) and as that social construction is questioned/forced to end (by things like economic necessity putting women back into the workforce and changing the types of jobs men and women hold), people’s bodies and attitudes change. There is some interesting work done on sexual dimorphism in the Soviet Union, and how men and women in the late 40’s and the 50’s had relatively little physical and social differences compared to the rest of the world. I’ll try to rustle it up if you’re interested.

TLDR: People’s bodies and attitudes are shaped by the world and society, as the world and society change/demand different things, bodies and attitudes change
