How would you bring this product to market?

Well I was hoping for a response by the end of the night, but I finished anyway. Will be turning it in tomorrow morning, but any feedback before then is still welcome.

I will break down my approach into two sections, the introductory phase and the sustained phase. They are just as they sound. The introductory phase being the initial stages of introducing the product to the market and raising awareness of the new release. The sustained phase being the mid to long term approach to keeping the BroToy1000 visible.

  • Introductory Phase:

Promo Page: One page on the website dedicated to showcasing an in-depth description of the BroToy1000, as well as all images. This will include all of the specs, price, and a detailed description of the technology that has gone into the new BroToy1000 design. One stop for all of the information about the product. This could simply be the product page, but something like a blog posting or entirely new page would allow for a more detailed description and background information. Most of the following items will link to this page, offering insight on traffic flow.

Email blast/ Newsletter: A simple announcement featuring basic text and an image similar to [Image A]. This reveals the product, shows the new appearance and provides the basic specs. A quick way to reach out to existing customers and distributors in the database ( I assume you have some sort of CRM in use). Links to the promo page for a more detailed overview.

Press Releases: This will be more of a text based approach. A few paragraphs detailing the company, the new release of the BroToy1000, and a somewhat detailed overview of the specs and upgrades given to the new design. Maybe one image of the product. This will again link to the Promo page.

Social Media: A series of daily posts to Facebook, Twitter and Instagram. Most will feature variations of [Image A]. Something eye catching, showing the product and a few key specs. FB and Twitter will link to the Promo page. IG can have a link in the bio, or verbally direct the user to the website for more info. An opportunity for some YouTube action videos also exists here.

Freebies/Sponsorships: I am not sure how you currently structure your sponsorships, whether you offer product at cost or for free. Either way, this would tie into the social media campaign. We would rely on the sponsored teams to post images of their use of the BroToy1000, linking to the promo page or our social media accounts.

  • Sustained Phase:

Advertising: This will be very budget dependent, but in this phase it would be beneficial to keep the product visible with advertising on Facebook, Google, web forums and possibly in store displays. Advertising online would provide great analytics to quickly determine if it is a cost effective approach.

Trade Shows & Events: I left this out in the introductory phase, though BroToyIndustries will likely have a presence during that time as well. Implementing some form of customer interaction will be a strong method to bring more attention to the booth. Raffling of a BroToy1000 at some of the larger events would generate more interest in the product, the booth, and social media pages (we can let visitors know ahead of time that there will be a raffle at the event). This can also provide an opportunity to add more customer information to the CRM database.

Social Media: As BroToy1000 specific posts begin wean down over time, we can maintain the product's visibility by featuring sponsored trucks that are utilizing the BroToy1000. There is also more opportunity for customer interaction with social media. Utilizing a giveaway contest will leverage the power of our existing follower base. Posting an image like [Image 2] will prompt followers to pay more attention to the product, as well as drawn in potential new followers as they tag more friends as part of the entrance to the contest.

Email blast/ Newsletter: As the BroToy1000 starts to blend in with the existing product line, BroToy1000 specific emails will likely revolve around deals/sales on the product, and the occasional news of the use of the BroToy1000 in any major events or races.
