How would you change... Dojos?

Decorations

I personally think we need a much larger variety of decorations. All things considered, we have maybe 10 to 15 different decorations with a bunch of different variants for each. The Dojos are so large and there's so much potential there, but when I decorate my dojo, I feel like there's not much I can do to make it stick out from the rest.

Many of the decorations seem to be based on nature or ancient asian culture, like you'd see in a martial arts movie. I understand what they're going for, but I'd like to see more decorations that we can use to make the Dojo look high-tech. The Relays are Tenno in origin, give us some of the decorations from there. (Namely the trees that are in bases, so I don't have to have trees growing out of the metal floor)

I'd also really like little floor panels that we can kneel on, to give a sense of meditation or something.

Decoration Placement

Here's my biggest gripe with the way Dojos work right now. Nothing can be placed anywhere. This issue is very apparent with trees, and I'm sure many of you will know what I'm talking about. When trying to place a tree in your Dojo, it never seems to be in a valid position, unless you shrink it down to gnome size. They always seem to be clipping with some non-existent object.

My fix for this would be allowing the user to place decorations wherever they please, even if that means it's clipping through a wall or another decoration. I understand there should be some restrictions, but a little bit more slack would be appreciated

Editing Decorations

After a decoration is placed, you have to go through a ton of menus just to edit it. I have a few suggestions on how this should be changed.

Having a build mode would be useful. Any object you click on will be edited automatically. You could contribute resources to it, delete it, etc. I think it would also be beneficial to be able to move objects after they have been placed, but not yet constructed. There's nothing worse than spending 5 minutes placing things, and finding that half of them are one grid point off-center.

Decoration Limit

This is a minor thing, and it would really only apply if decorations were changed in the ways as I described above, but a higher decoration limit would be nice, so I can create the atmosphere I desire without worrying about running out of points.

Rooms

One of the more prominent issues with the Dojos is that everything seems very barren and sterile. When looking at the old Orokin Dojo Tileset, everything had borders, and the ground had elevated areas with stairs and rails, and some of the walls were indented, things like that. There was a lot of character. I understand everything is pretty basic to allow for more freedom of decoration, but, as mentioned before, without a major overhaul of how that system works, having large empty rooms is kind of unavoidable. When looking at the Relay, the floors and walls had a lot of variation to them. Built in lights, accents, curved surfaces, and it makes it a really interesting thing to look at. If some of that could be implemented into the tileset, then the Dojos would have a lot more character, even without decorations.

Variety of Rooms

Now this doesn't really bother me too much, I think there's a decent amount of rooms available right now, but more variety could never hurt. Maybe a room that works sort of like the liset so you can access your arsenal, foundry, and mods without having to leave the dojo. A navigation room to enter missions might also prove useful.

Removal of Old Rooms

When I was building my Dojo, I found that a lot of the rooms, namely the smaller Clan Halls, were just going to be tucked away into the basement. If there was a way to remove old rooms without having to remove everything else connected to them, It would really save a lot of time, effort, and resources. Being able to move an already built room to an open node would be extremely useful.

Research

I don't really have a problem with this system, but my main issue is the 3 day wait time on everything. I understand having that applied to crafting warframes and such, but it's not even there to help DE get money for platinum. You can't rush it, why should I have to wait half a week to research a helmet? The wait time makes research EXTREMELY tedious and time consuming. Lowering the time to 12-24 hours would make it a lot more tolerable.

Conclusion

Overall, I like the concept of Dojos, but since the change to the Tenno tileset, the execution seems really poor. There's so much potential to make something fantastic, but right now, the functions are not there. If these changes were implemented, I can guarantee I would spend hours and hours just planning, decorating, and gathering resources. I really hope some of these issues are fixed in the near future, because until then, my dojo will only be used for trading and research.
