How would you have improved upon Jurassic World's script?

I really liked this movie.

  • It had great meta commentary (At least how I took it) on dinosaurs in public perception:

"Kids now look at dinosaurs like they look at elephants in the city zoo"

  • It easily and concisely explains away why the dinosaurs don't look like scientific dinosaurs with Dr. Wu's talk about how Masrani didn't want "real" dinosaurs and instead wanted something that looked cool.

  • It explained away why they actually gave the Indominus Rex so many different traits that didn't really work with an attraction by saying that the Dr. Wu worked with InGen to create basically living weapons, and the reason everyone was caught off guard by the abilities of the I-Rex was because it was specifically designed as a military weapon rather than a park attraction.

  • The whole element of Jurassic Park being that "Man cannot play God" is present consistently rather than passively passed over in reference, thanks to Chris Pratt's character and others reiterating that the attractions are more than just simple animals, how they must be treated like living and breathing beings, and how you can't just bring back a creature from extinction and expect it to obey your whims.

To be honest, the only real thing I would change in this film would be showing how well the park is actually functioning because by following the two kids, you really only get glimpses of the park through their eyes and really nothing else besides that.

I would also actually show how the constant talks of the park falling into disinterest actually apply, because the only person not enjoying themselves seems to be the older brother, while every other guest seems to be having a wonderful time; as well as the visitor count being about 22,000 (Of course though, on the monitor it also showed that's only about half as much as Jurassic World is ready to handle).

Finally...I wanted so desperately to hear Mr. DNA say "Dinosawrs".
