How y'all Golder people feeling?

I've been at Golder for <1 year (or a year if I include subcontractor time) in Aus as a non-geologist, so I was aware of the WSP integration early on. I accepted the position because it provided stability and money after my PhD, but I was planning my consulting exit at the 3 year mark because although the work is fine, it's not really where I want to be long-term.

I now have that exit with a position lined up in Gov, and it has come at good timing. My time with Golder started well, but with combinations of Covid hitting hard in numerous Aus States and uncertainty regarding the integration, people have been leaving in droves. There has been a noticeable shift in office culture and a reduction in events. We are under-resourced all over and positions aren't getting filled. We've had a few meetings now with the WSP leads about changes to integration and things have been getting spicy in the online Q&A sessions. Interesting times ahead.
