How was your year, reddit?

Fucking horrible. My wife had 7 surgeries this year - just got out off the hospital this past Friday. My son had one surgery. Both are ok but now we have roughly $15 in medical debt even though we have the ‘top-tier’ insurance from my employer. My employer sold a large business to another group which weirdly enough, we support as a third party now. While prepping for the event l, during the event, and since, I’ve worked 60 hours a week... the only reward: a shirt, a hat, a banner, and a breakfast. No bonus, no raise, nada.

Oh... because of the medical debt I’ve now defaulted on my student loans. Bel et pretty much told me to suck it.

It has been a horrible year. I wish any of the above was me seeking attention and false... it’s not. My wife and I agreed after the holidays that I would see a doc for depression. We were waiting for the surgery and couldn’t get it in while the deductible was done - never mind co-insurance. Soooo.... more medical bills. Yay.
