Howto: Firefox-UI-Fix

so...

some things can be adjusted, like the border size and padding of tabs and buttons and things, but the height of the tabs will be limited by the font of the tabs.

To change the font of the tabs one can either change the font of the system (OS) or use the "pixels per pix" setting in "about:config"

specifically: layout.css.devPixelsPerPx

I found that 0.79 is a good number, but will depend on your system font setting. This will reduce the size of the font AND the window elements like tab height, urlbar/toolbar height.

The "Firefox-UI-Fix" files will revert your appearance to that of previous versions of firefox, which had a slimmer look. I expect that the reason for the change in Firefox 89 to a larger look is due to the use of 4k monitors now.

{you must restart firefox to see changes made to the .css files, save file, then reload firefox; a reload addon button is helpful: https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/restart\_browser
