HU Siege Tank Harass - Unstoppable?

It certainly is one of the most annoying strategies in the game. There are a couple of ways to counter it, dependant on your approach. Crucial to all these counters are your early and constant scouting as the gathered information on your opponent can be used to set up your proper counter.

You can go for a short match by putting max pressure on your opponent's expo, even going all in, so as soon as you see your opponent expanding you can harass the expo with tier 1 units and perhaps APs. NE tier 1 units in mass are quite strong so using it to your advantage early game could be an idea.

You can also go for the longer game. As mentioned earlier, scouting is important, so as soon as you see the HU going for workshops and tanks, you can fortify your base and expo with AoWs, talons, and even mud golems for slowing down the tanks. A couple of glaives thrown in could also help. One important thing with this approach is to prevent him from setting up the third expo, as the economic aspect of HU's strat is even more important with tank play.

Seeing him going for gryphons, you obviously can add in a significant amount of hippos to counter. Bears are good against tanks and hippos will counter air units, later on you can add MGs in your army composition for sustain. About your hero choice, it seems that going for KotG is the standard nowadays, and with good reason, because of his entangle that will disrupt AM's blizzard. Naga is good early game but will later be difficult to utilize effectively compared to other 2nd heroes like Panda or Alchemist.
