You know, I met the love of my life through someone I dated and worked with, and she worked with. Our relationship ended pretty badly, and it fucked me up for a long time, but I met some of the dearest people in my life because of that relationship. Not exactly the same kind of "love" in most places-- one friend is my mom's age and has a bunch of daughters I'm also friends with, and I am in her book club with these other amazing ladies older than me. The other friend is a girl from Belgium who stayed with that family as an exchange student. Not to mention my amazing partner of course! None of that stuff would have happened to me if I hadn't dated that jerk that I had a solo closing shift with once a week at a fabric store chain.
