Hugo Chávez statue torn down as death toll rises in Venezuela protests

No capitalism is a economic model that includes private ownership of enterprise. As long as there is private ownership, then there is capitalism. Socialism is the abolishment of private property, so as long as there is private property, there can't be socialism.

In regards to Norway, they literally have nationalized about as many industries as Venezuela, probably more. The only reason you refuse to admit them as socialist to that degree is because they're more successful and it would conflict with your pro-capitalist worldview. Now it doesn't have to, being that they aren't socialist, but since you erroneously believe that government intervention is socialism, it does.

The idea that 'socialism is workers owning the means of production!!' is what PURE SOCIALISM (or communism) is supposed to be, not socialism in general. Its kind of like the difference between regular modern day capitalism and laissez faire capitalism.

No. Pure socialism is not communism. Communism is the absence of government. Capitalism is private property. It has nothing to do with government interventionism. You're getting into horseshoe theory territory here, and I'll warn you that horseshoe theory is bullshit.
