We don’t have enough horses to go back to the glorious days where people regularly died from childbirth and cholera, to start with.

What really needs to happen is for it to become mandatory that every roof have solar panels, we need to build wave energy plans off our coasts, wind turbines wherever they’re most effective and to hell with the NIMBYers.

Then we need to make all our cars, buses, trains, and everything else electric. We need to find a better alternative to jet fuel.

We need to end the reliance on fossil fuels, but dragging people back 5 centuries to a time when folks didn’t shower and had never seen an orange isn’t going to make people join your cause. It’s only going to reinforce the stereotypes.
