Hunters of Reddit,what did you see out there that made you not want to go back into the woods?

Not hunting, not even in the woods, but still an interesting story:

I was camping with a friend on some BLM land in North Eastern Colorado (I believe it was called the Prairie Grassland National Land, or something like that). It was just for a single night, here is a picture of our campsite right off the road.

Once we settled down for the night we ate a couple of edibles and maybe an hour later heard several howls in the distance. I believe it was a pack of coyotes and never in my life had I been more frozen with fear. We couldn't decide if we should move to the car or just stay quiet and still in the tent, we ultimately chose the latter and ended up being okay. It was still a nerve wracking night nonetheless.
