hunting bow variant ideas

mmm while im open to more bow variants (I mostly play the bow), itd need to be justified.

I dont think a long bow would be a good idea, it will probably be actually very weak since it will negates most of the bow's advantages. The bow is fucking deadly at close range and seriously harmful at mid range but loses a lot of its efficiency at long range for the damage. If the damage was to be upped it would be seriously too op at mid range.

Also the arrow drop for long shots wouldnt be a trade off thats worth not getting a good rifle. Youd end up missing most of your shots and not finding your arrows after you crossed a field to find those.

Even with downsides for closer range like less arrows or longer reload time, i think it would hard to correctly balance it in a way that people would want to play it and its not too OP.

As for the recurve bow idea, thats just too OP man. Id use it exactly the same way I do with the normal bow but just seriously buffed. Thats basically the normal bow but cheaper, smaller slot, stealthier...

All my critics aside, id be down for more bow stuff but I dont think those ideas are the ones to go with
