District 2 - David Little

David wants to work to support and improve Huntsville’s public safety departments to keep neighborhoods and property safe. Through David’s efforts on the Huntsville Police Citizen’s Advisory Council David believes the Huntsville Police Department has improved, especially in the wake of the 2020 protests and the resulting HPCAC review of HPD’s protest response. David still believes more can be done to improve the public safety departments in Huntsville though, “The police department needs to add another precinct and recruiting quality applicants is important. Our fire department faces similar issues, and they need the support from the council to insure they are staffed and equipped in a way that serves all of Huntsville.”

Personal thoughts: Honestly think the city council has been toothless and the HPCAC were yes men refusing to hold the police department accountable for their transgressions.
