Husband and I are having our longest fight ever and I don't know what to do

I'm always concerned when a relationship started as a 26 year old dating a 19 year old that the older person was used to dating someone less mature and will eventually have to accept that power dynamic changing.

Eh...I dated a guy who was 28 when I was 19, pretty seriously for like a year.

He was a European doctor who looked like James Dean, and I was just there for school.

Things ultimately didn’t work out - he didn’t want to start over in the US (don’t blame him), and I wasn’t ready to move to a foreign country permanently either. It was a tough break up, but on good terms...there wasn’t any kind of control dynamics or anything like that. He’s a great guy, and had some circumstances been different, it may not have ended.

But, unfortunately, I do realize that is the exception to the rule.
