Ages? Find a way to comfort yourself with something other than food? An interest, a hobby? Do you work outside the home?
Switch to 'less calorie dense' foods (especially: try to avoid or minimize sugars and sugar containing foods). Homecooking gives you control over just what you're consuming (vs processed/convenience and junk foods).
As to depression, aerobic exercise is quite helpful (stirs up our 'endorphines', the feel good hormones). If you've some good walking shoes, getting into a habit of going for a long walk (if your doctor feels your heart's up to it), ought to boost your mood a fair bit imo. We're entering fall/winter, the lower light levels may be affecting your mood, aka Seasonal Affective Disorder (add more and brighter indoor lighting, I urge incandescent rather than LED bulbs if obtainable for better eye health).
