Hybrids and Heretics

I think the name is still debatable. If it's meant to be an insult, why would the heretics stick with the name themselves. I think the proof we have could go either way even with the definition of heresy. They could have named themselves or it could have been given to them.

All of the existing Heretics would have had to come from Rebekah's or Klaus's sideline since Lilly turned them all (pre all of the original family deaths) and they didn't die when the others died. The only two know potential siphons are Lizzie and Josie and the likelihood that they would be turned by someone in Kol's line seems slim but not impossible.

Also, many Hybirds retain pieces of their dominant species so there is no proof that a Heretic would lose the ability to not be compelled. And even if they would, as mentioned, compulsion has been described as magic "ad naseum" on TVD so they could siphon their compulsion away.

The inability to have kids you're 100% right about although not everyone wants kids or mourns that loss so that would depend on the person.

Lastly, your right I was making a different comparison to what you origainllt meant so my bad! However, just like siphons they can draw magic on outside magic as well as their own which gives them an added boost than a regular siphon. We diverge in if Heretics have a limit on outside magic they can siphon so we'll have to wait and see if the show ever answers that question :)

A lot of Hybrid creatures maintain
