Is Hypergamy a dirty word?

Especially if there are other people who came out the other side with more nuanced views.

I've become real skeptical of the whole appeal to nuance, to be honest, because it’s very often a too convenient way to evade valid criticism. People just as often will shift into black and white thinking to pursue an agenda as others will appeal to some unfathomable gray morality to avoid coming up on the wrong side of a hard discussion. People are complex, yes, but they're not so infinitely unknowable that judgements can't be made.

Like, a nuanced description of Hitler was that he was a vegetarian, an artist, and a megalomaniacal mass murderer. One of these things is the one we should be paying attention to.
