Our society has advanced to a degree where an individual questioning a science would be not far from questioning god

Unless one is at the stage of life where they are choosing their career field , and have the means, most people can’t just acquired the knowledge, equipment, materials and (if needed) permits to carry out their own experiments

You’re right in that certain things regarding God cannot be ‘hard’ tested by anyone , but some sciences are so advanced they can only be tested by relatively few

In the event that the technology is only held by the government (which does happen) , only they would know certain outcomes to tests we may not even think of. So if it’s them saying “trust the science” , it’s not something that anyone can do experiments with to satisfy their curiosity

I’m not explaining this the best, but perhaps you can see what I’m getting at
