[Hypothetical] Osama Bin Laden goes to heaven?

There are several Christian faiths that address this problem that I like.

Some of them have a "God knows the content of your heart and whether or not you truly repented." Meaning, you could murder an innocent, say you repented, and then live your life, 80s years, as the most perfect and righteous non-Jesus person to walk the earth. But, if you didn't honestly repent, you would not be forgiven no matter how good everyone on the outside though you were.

But, on the same token, a genuinely and honest repentance does mean you can do a 180 and receive forgiveness even if you only had 5 minutes left to live. But, that also means you'd have to make a major change in that 5 minutes and, likely, that would be almost impossible for any human to do (habits and that area of study called "psychology" makes it very obvious that pretty much no one could change in just 5 minutes, like that...but there are always exceptions). What this means is there is almost no such thing as a deathbed confession and deathbed repentance. Obviously Catholics would disagree with me. But not all Christian religions believe in deathbed confessions.

However, I think you are asking a question that is more directed towards Mormons: forgiveness AFTER death. Am I correct? Are you asking if Osama Bin Laden can obtain forgiveness in the afterlife? In which case, the same rules apply in Mormonism, in their afterlife, as does the "life-life." However, Mormons believe it is much much more difficult to change as only a spirit because there are certain qualities as just a spirit that make changing harder to do (but it is still possible). To cover their particular belief, they believe all spirits (spirits in "Spirit Prison") will be taught the gospel.

"...the Lord went not in person among the wicked and the disobedient who had rejected the truth, to teach them; But behold, from among the righteous, he organized his forces and appointed messengers...and commissioned them to go forth and carry the light of the gospel to them that were in darkness, even to all the spirits of men; and thus was the gospel preached to the dead…Thus was the gospel preached to those who had died in their sins, without a knowledge of the truth, or in transgression, having rejected the prophets. These were taught faith in God, repentance from sin, vicarious baptism for the remission of sins, the gift of the Holy Ghost by the laying on of hands...in order to qualify themselves that they might be judged according to men in the flesh, but live according to God in the spirit. (D&C 138:28-35)"

So, as to your question, if you intended Christianity in general, I believe I answered it. If you intended the Mormon idea of an afterlife, then the Mormons believe it can happen for anyone...but it is more difficult to do.
