I think I could make this a full time job! Thoughts?

If dashing full time was such a great gig, everybody would do it and you wouldn’t be able to get in that easily because other full time people would never leave the limited slots.

It’s psychologically hard. It’s physically demanding. It’s a financial slog. Maintenance is a never ending treadmill. You can be deactivated at any moment for almost no reason with no recourse at all…doesn’t matter if you have 10k dashes with a perfect rating, doesn’t matter if you just spent all your extra on a big round of tire/oil/repair maintenance costs…you’re deactivated.

Sure, you could make it a full time job…but with few of the benefits and none of the protections. Plenty of people make it doing Doordash full time….they aren’t rich.

Plenty of others have lost everything because they over-leveraged on a new car. And more than a few have gotten an ugly tax bill when they get audited a year or two in.

Do what you will, but don’t miss other opportunities to be a Doordasher.
